Shelby Jean Hodge
Mrs. Shelby Jean Hodge, 67, of Crab Orchard, and formerly of Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was born in Mt. Vernon on January 9, 1937, the daughter of John W. and Fannie Elizabeth Baker Gill, was a homemaker and a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church.
Survivors are three sons, John Richard Crissen, Jr. of Elletsville, IN, Finley Louis Crissen of Lawrenceburg, IN and Robert Wayne Blevins of Crab Orchard; two daughters, Freda Lynn Parsons of Somerset and Susan Marie Hopkins of Crab Orchard; one brother, Carl Gill of Ashland; one sister, Juanita Whitaker of Florida; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Ray Hodge.
Private graveside services were held Friday, April 19 in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dowell & Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
