Herman Hundley age 86 of Rt 3 Mt. Vernon KY died Sunday Nov. 16, 2003 at his home. Herman was the owner of Hundleys Grocery on 1016 in Berea, and was a member of the Berea Church of the Nazarene. Herman was preceded in death by his parents John H. and Sarah Elizabeth Murray Hundley, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Herman is survived by his wife Suella Slone Hundley of Mt. Vernon, 3 daughters: Claudia (Boyd) Wren, Chrystal (William) Powell both of Mt. Vernon, and Daphane (Jerry) Baird of Berea. Two special friends Carolyn and Eugene Bowling. 7 grandchildren: Jerri Laine (Gary) Ramsey, Susan (Lloyd) Jordison, Melora (Chris) Jones, Billy Dale (Angie) Powell, Penny Sue (Charlie) Hensley, Elizabeth (Michael) Hardy, and Leah Baird. 5 great grandchildren: Erik Jordison, Austin Jordison, Corey Powell, Kasey Powell, and Nathaniel Hardy.

Funeral services will be Wednesday Nov. 19, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Lakes Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Davis, Rev. Ova Land, and rev. Steve McKinney officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Dale Bullen, Eugene Brandenburg, Kendall Gadd, Lowell Murray, Jim McWhorter, and John Powell. Honorary bearers will be Ira Carr, Frank Hensley, Oscar Gregory, Marvin Ponder, and grandchildren and spouses. Visitation will be Tuesday Nov. 18, 2003 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Lakes Funeral Home.
