Annie Powell Isaacs age 83 died Friday Feb. 6, 2004 at her home. Annie was born on July 2, 1920 in Rockcastle Co. to the late  Alex and Mary Belle Smith Powell. Annie was a life long member of the Conway Baptist Church where she came to know Jesus as her personal savior more than 70 years ago.

Annie was married to her husband Charlie Isaacs on Oct. 24, 1938,and he survives her. Annie is also survived by her 12 children: 7 sons Raymond Isaacs & wife Phyllis, Ralph Isaacs & wife Jean, Luther Isaacs & wife Nancy, Herbert Isaacs & wife Dora, Hobert Isaacs & wife Rebecca, James Isaacs all of Berea, and Leroy Isaacs & wife Rebecca of Springfield, OH. 5 daughters Mary Watkins & husband Jerry, Sarah Neeley, Barbara Turner & husband John (Bill) Turner, Janet Vaughn, Joyce Thompson & husband Mike all of Berea. 33 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. Annie is also survived by a sister Clyde Leona Hiatt of Dayton, OH. 2 brothers Ray Powell of Lexington, and Oscar Powell of Crossville, TN.

Annie was preceded in death by 3 brothers Clarence Powell, Charlie Powell and Robert Powell, 3 sisters Ruth Powell, Edna Powell Bowman, and her twin Amy Powell Smith. 1 grandson, and 2 great grandsons.

Funeral services will be Monday Feb. 9, 2004 at the Fairview Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve McKinney, Rev. Greg Lakes, and Rev. Deton Sears officiating. Burial will be in the Isaacs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Visitation will be Sunday Feb. 8, 2004 after 5:00 p.m. Lakes Funeral Home.
