Mrs. Helen Jean Pelfrey Lamb, age 71 of Rt. 3 Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday, July 15 at her home. She was born in West Liberty, KY on Aug. 28, 1931 the daughter of Thomas Henry and Mary Vernon Osborne Pelfrey. She retired from Dresser Industries after serving for 35 years and was a member of the Wildie Christian Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by three sons, Danny Lamb of Thonassa, FL, Darrell and Sherry Lamb of Berea, and Gary Lamb of Mt. Vernon; six daughters, Alberta and Ray Wilson of Zolfo, FL, Linda Lamb, Rose Lamb, and Anita and Bill Bradley, all of Mt. Vernon, Margaret Lamb of Conway, and Loria Doan of Richmond; a brother, Jimmy Pelfrey of Pensacola, FL; and two sisters, Elenora Chocoran and Neva and Kenny Russell of Fairborn, OH. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry and Mary Vernon Pelfrey; her husband of 36 years, Albert Foster Lamb; a daughter, Connie Gail Lamb; and three sisters, Zelda Ferguson, Ruth Keys, and Sue Adkins.
