Charles Denver Marler

 

Charles Denver Marler, 76, of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at the Hazard Nursing Home. He was born in Rockcastle County, March 8, 1927, the son of Bob and Molly McClure Marler, was a retired press operator for General Motors and an Army Veteran of WWII.

 

Survivors are his wife, Freda Roberts Marler; two sons, Larry Marler of Seven Mile, OH and Charles Marler of Hamilton, OH; four daughters, Norma Jean Kincaid, Linda Marler, Janice Brown and Barbara Marler, all of Hamilton, OH; one stepson, Darrell Brown of Mt. Vernon; two stepdaughters, Glenda Stegmoller of Morrow, OH and Kathy Brown of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Glen Marler of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Hazel Bullock and Dovie Cox, both of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nine step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 10 at Dowell & Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Bradley officiating. Burial was in the Marler Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Darrell Brown, Phillip Karr, Curtis Roberts, Jason Roberts, Jeff Roberts and Tracy Roberts.
