Evelyn
June Mullins, 73, wife of Billy D. Mullins of Lexington, died Thursday, August
7, 2003 at their home. She was born February 2, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky,
the daughter of the late Opp and Mazy Bussell. In addition to her husband, Mrs.
Mullins is survived by five daughters, Joy Meadows Duncan, Renee Meadows
Reynolds, Teresa Meadows Hudson (Mike), Tammy Mullins Gilliam (Will), Piper
Mullins; one son, Dale Meadows (Karen); one sister Sue Gail Pike (Jerry) of
Jeffersonville, Indiana; six grandchildren, Casey Geilear (Jonathan), Adam
Meadows (Melody), Caitlyn Meadows, Tara Reynolds, McKenzie Gilliam and Reece
Gilliam; two great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Madison Geilear; several nieces
and nephews, all of whom will remember her funny stories and love of sports and
animals. Evelyn was preceded in death by one sister, Christine Greasle and her
brother, Opp Bussell, Jr. Friends may call on Sunday, August 10 from 4 to 7 p.m.
at W.R. Milward Mortuary- Southland Drive, where services will be held on Monday
at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend David Welsh officiating. Burial will be in the
Lexington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lexington
Humane Society.
