Mrs. Lucille Worth Albright Purcell, age 90, widow of Sam Senet "Bub" Purcell, Jr. of Brodhead, Ky., passed away Tues. October 11, 2005 at the Rockcastle Hospital. She was born December 5, 1914 in Brodhead, Ky., a daughter of the late Arch Cleveland and Bird Harp Albright. She was a member of Brodhead Baptist Church, a retired Educator, with 25yrs. service at Brodhead Grade School and Negro Creek School. She was a member of Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, her hobbies and interest included gardening. On August 9, 1939, she was united in holy matrimony to Sam Senet Purcell, Jr., and from that union came two sons-Rodney Dean and Ned Senet Purcell. Those left to mourn her passing include her two sons- Rodney Dean Purcell and wife Betty of Willailla, Ky; and Ned Senet Purcell of Brodhead, Ky. Two grandsons-Alan Senet Purcell and wife Kristen of Washington, D.C. and Aaron Dean Purcell and wife Laura of Knoxville, Tenn. Two great grandsons-- William Senet Purcell and Samuel Sullivan Purcell. As well as a host of friends and neighbors. Besides her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters-Marguerite Shafer, Carter Hoskins, Mildred Gatliff, and Infants Edith Albright and Lydia Viola Albright and two brothers-Guy Albright and John Bill Albright. Visitation for Mrs. Lucille Purcell will be Fri. October 14th, 2005 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be conducted Sat. October 15th, 2005 at 11AM at the Marvin E. Owens Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Shelby Reynolds and Luther Allen officiating; burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery.
