Walter Saylor

CRAB ORCHARD - Services for Walter Saylor, 65, of Sycamore Street, were today at McKnight Funeral Home by Arnold Larkin. Burial was in Hopkins Cemetery.

He died Saturday at his home.

Born Oct. 16, 1938, in Crab Orchard, he was the son of Blanche Hopkins Saylor of Crab Orchard and the late Jack Saylor. He was a member of Church of Christ and a former employee of Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Other survivors include three sons, Tony Saylor of Crab Orchard, Terry Saylor of Stanford and Tim Saylor of Brodhead; two daughters, Theresa Bohlman of Brodhead and Tabitha Saylor of Mount Vernon; four brothers, Truman, Tommy and J.D. Saylor, all of Crab Orchard, and Ted Saylor of Somerset; three sisters, Elsie Stevens, Linda Dowell and Lily Parker, all of Crab Orchard; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Thomas, Douglas and Shane Saylor, Dale Dowell, Ricky Johnson and David Parker.

Honorary pallbearers were Ryan Volk, Terry Toomey, Jason Childress, Nathan Bohlman, and Dameon and Johnny Denny.
