Mr. F. Ronald Stokes, 66 of Route #6 Mt. Vernon died Sunday February 15, 2004 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1937 in Rockcastle County the son of Floyd Stokes of Mt. Vernon and the late Elizabeth Owens Stokes. He was a retired machinist for Parker seal Co. Enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors besides his father are: His wife; Mrs. Patrica Spoonamore Stokes of Route #6 Mt. Vernon. One daughter; Mrs. Regina Hedgepath of Brodhead, KY. Two sons; David Stokes and wife, Carol of London, KY and Brian Stokes and wife, Gayle of Lexington, KY. One brother; Jerry Stokes of Mt. Vernon. Two sisters; Linda Newby and husband Charles of Richmond, KY and Roseannn Hunt and husband Anthony of Somerset, KY. Ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several neices and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother; Douglas Stokes.
