Mrs. Ida M. Whitson, age 79, widow of Lowell Whitson, of Brodhead, Ky. passed away April 4, 2004 at the Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, Ky.

 

She was born on November 16, 1924 in Sand Springs,Ky., a daughter of the late J Walter and Delia C. Bullock Miller. She was a member of the McNew Baptist Church at Cove Branch. She had been a homemaker, wife and mother.

One of her hobbies included camping.

 

Those left to mourn her passing include her children- Dave Bullock and wife Charlene of Williamsburg, VA; Herb Bullock and wife Patricia of Lancaster,Ky.

Donald N. Bullock and wife Edye of Hillsboro, Ohio; and Carl (Pete) Bullock and wife Faith of Brodhead, Ky. and a brother , Walter Miller, Jr. of Brodhead, Ky.

Sixteen grandchildren-Tina Locks, Dawn Brake, David Bullock, Nancy Robison, Amanda Bullock, April (Nanny) Arrowood, Alice Arrowood, Gary Arrowood, Clay Bullock, Carolyn Barron, Lisa Barrett, Joe Bussell Jr., Markita Mink, & Spencer Scott Bussell. Twenty nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 36years, Lowell Whitson; as well as the father of her children, Walter Bullock; and children-Anna (Cathy) Elliott and Joyce Bussell; grandchildren-Linda Bullock and Lula Marie Bullock; brothers-Denver, Chester Louis, Arthur, Robert, Curt, & R.B. Miller, two half brothers-John D. & Willie Miller; and sister-Anna Mae Graves, Zelma Bullock and Sybil Bradley.

 

Visitation for Mrs. Ida Whitson will be Wednesday, April 7, 2004 from 6-9P at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, Ky. with Funeral services being conducted Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 11AM at the Marvin E. Owens Funeral Chapel with Bro.Eugene Gentry officiating.
