Kentucky: A History of the State. Perrin, Battle & Kniffin, 6th ed.,1887, Spencer Co. FIELDING HENRY was born in Spencer County, Ky., in 1838, a son of David Henry, who was also a native of Spencer County. David was a son of John Henry, who was a native of Tennessee, his family emigrating to that State from Virginia. David was born in 1805, was, like his forefathers, a farmer, and died in 1840. He married Hannah Brown, daughter of Raphael Brown of Spencer County. She was born in 1817, is still living, and after Mr. Henry's death married John Crutcher, a farmer, and a member of an old Virginian [sic] family. Fielding is the second of three children, his sister, Ann (Abbott) being his senior, and his brother David, his junior. He has passed his life on the farm, and has devoted himself to agricultural pursuits, now owning 200 acres of land. He is a member of the Baptist Church, holding his membership at Little Mount Church, where he has been in fellowship for twenty-two years. In 1876 he married Virginia Carrithers, daughter of Frank and Amanda (Clark) Carrithers. Two children were born to their union: James D. (deceased) and Edward F.
