I Benjamin Wells in being week and feeble and much afflicted if sound and disposing mind and memory, knowing the uncertainty of death, do this day make this my last will and testament. I will that all my just debts be paid, funeral expenses in the following manner, to wit. I will to my son James C Wells his heirs or assigns for ever the tract of land wherein I now live, primarily sixty acres more or less for and in consideration of which my son James Wells is to pay six hundred dollars towards my just debts and funeral expenses. I will and bequeath to my daughter Mary Hardesty one dollar. I will and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Hughes one dollar. I will and bequeath to Newman Wells one dollar. I will and bequeath to Coleman Wells one dollar. I will and bequeath to Benjamin Wells one dollar. I will and bequeath to my son William Wells one dollar. I will and bequeath to George T Wells one dollar. I will and bequeath to my daughter Emily Flanders one dollar. I will and bequeath to Catherine Anderson one dollar. I will and bequeath to my daughter Franky Hughes one dollar. I will and bequeath to my son Yelly Wells one dollar. I will and bequeath that my beloved wife Mary Wells have the use of all the remainder of my estate, after my funeral expenses and just debts are paid, during her life to be under the management of my son James C Wells during my beloved wife's lifetime. And I will and bequeath that whatever property therein may be remaining at the death of my beloved wife Mary Wells may be equally divided between my three daughters, Franky Hughes, Emily Flanders, and Catherine Anderson. My will and desire is and I hereby appoint my son James C Wells executor of this my last will and testament. In testimony wherof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of March, 1852.
