From: "jackie mcgurk" Date: Wednesday, April 02, 2008 7:56 PM I am writing in response to the "stumped" notation on the Woodford County, Ky. web page. I have been searching for information on: William R. Campbell Born about 1790, location unknown * Died 1863, Woodford Co. Ky. All I know is that he had a son named Robert H. Campbell who was administrator of his estate in 1863. I have not found a will for William R. Campbell, only the administration papers. The 1810, 1830 and 1840 U.S. Census show a William Campbell in Woodford, but of course there is no other information on the census to prove this is my relative. I "THINK" his wife's name may have been Ann Campbell. This is based on the U.S. Census for 1860, Woodford County, showing an Ann Campbell age 71, born in Virginia, living with Robert H. Campbell, William R. Campbell son. I believe this may be Robert's mother, and William's R. Campbell widow. The 1860 U.S. Census doesn't show relationship to head of household. * I am guessing William's birth as 1790. His son Robert H. Campbell was born in 1812. So I guessed that William may have been at least 20 when his son was born, but of course Robert may have been one of many children and William could have been much older when Robert was born. Any help would greatly appreciated. Jackie Campbell McGurk San Diego, California
