This cemetery is very overgrown and has a rock fence which is falling down; however, with a good cleanup it would be in excellent condition. There are several stones down and covered. We did not have a shovel that day [who goes to an old graveyard without a shovel – two dummies!} We uncovered two stones with sticks and probed and located several more that need to be uncovered.

The graveyard included several fieldstones which were obviously graves

Ally.Hoover Son of R. J. & C. M. Hoover Born – [stone is below ground and can’t read dates] [Robert J. Hoover married Charlotte M. Allen in Woodford County 29 Nov 1870]
Martha C. Shryock Born Aug 15, 1829 Died Nov 27, 1855 [She is the daughter of Reuben Young who married William Shryock in Woodford County, Kentucky 23 Dec 1845 and they had at least four children]
Footstone S. Y.
America S.Young Born – [stone broken in middle and can’t read, born about 1816] Died March 17, 1868 Wife of Reuben Young Bottom of stone has “Burke Versailles, KY” [this is the name of the stone maker] America S. Pilcher married Reuben Young in Woodford County 7 Aug. 1844 and they had at least three children]
Reuben Young Born Jan 17, 1804 Died Aug. 2, 1869 [Reuben Young was the son of Lewis Young who gave his consent for Reuben’s first marriage]
Sharlott M.Young Born Jan 1, 1804 Died Oct 7, 1843 Wife of R. Young [Sharlott Matilda Collins married Reuben Young in Woodford County, Kentucky 18 Dec. 1823 and they had at least seven children]
