Some Early Central Kentucky Marriages

Early manuscripts and documents commonly known as the "Draper Papers" include some interviews and records collected by Rev. John Dabney Shane, but these marriage records were not in the collection purchased by Mr. Draper. The repository for the "Draper Papers" is the State Historical Society of Wisconsin, and the home for the other Shane Papers is The Presbyterian Historical Association, Philadelphia. Fortunately for researchers the documents have been microfilmed, and may be viewed in many libraries. This list was copied by Fred Westcott at the Allen County Public Library, Fort Wayne, IN.
