Marriage Bond for Enos Mix & Eleanor (Merrill) Tull

 

 

Eleanor Tull was the second wife of Handy Tull.  After his death circa August 1796, she later remarried to Enos Mix.  Submitted by Lyndon Comstock  lyndon.comstock (at) gmail.com

 

Know all men by these presents that we Enos Mix & Edward Hern [Hearn] are held and firmly bound unto James Garrard Governor or chief magistrate of Kentucky the Just and full sum of Fifty Pounds Current Money of said State, to whom payment well & truly to be made unto the said Governor and his successors for the use of the Commonwealth, We bind ourselves our Heirs, Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents

 

Sealed with our seals this 3d day of August 1802

 

The Condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas there is a marriage Shortly intended to be held and solemnized between the above bound Enox Mix & Nelly Tull of the County of Woodford if there be no lawful impediment to the said Marriage then the above Obligation to be void Else to remain full force & Virtue
