Pete Bailey, 85, formerly of
Columbia, died Sunday,
December 21, 2003 at Hardin Memorial Hospital
in Elizabethtown.
He was the son of the late Benjamin and
Nora Sherill Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie
Powell Bryant Bailey in 1987.
Mr. Bailey is
survived by three sons and their spouses, , Charles and Gladys Bailey of
fariland, IN, Jessie and Judy Bailey of
Shelbyville, IN and Purd and Lovena Bryant of Milltown. Three sisters, nine
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by
three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December
23, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev.
Gene Conover officiating.
Burial in the beulah Chapel
Cemetery.
Grandsons
were casketbearers.
Grissom Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.

Callie Huff, age 88 years, a resident of
Summit Manor Nursing Home, Columbia, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 22, 2003, at 9:43 at Westlake Regional
Hospital.
She was
the daughter of the late James E. and Elnora Leach Bailey and the widow of
Hallie Williams Huff.
Mrs. Huff is
survived by one son, Leon Huff of Columbia, KY; five daughters, Lacana Bryant,
Faye Devore, Fern Roy, Lora Atchley and
Lois White, all of Columbia, KY. Eighteen grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren,
one step-grandson, three
great-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-granddaughter and a host of
other relatives and friends also survive.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday,
December 24, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Riggs officiating.
Interment in the Freedom
Cemetery.
