"DIPTHERIA RAGING IN ADAIR COUNTY.

GLASGOW, Ky., Sept. 30. - An epidemic of diptheria is raging in the
Holmes section of Adair county. Five children of Mr. and Mrs. R. W.
Balt have been in a critical condition and a three-hear-old child of
Mrs. William Beard is also ill with the disease. Some twelve cases
have been reported from that immediate section, but so far as known
there have been no deaths."
