Adair County News, March 13,
1901
On the night of February 27th, Talt Hendron left this neighborhood on a
horse owned by his wife; any one furnishing information concerning the
horse or by returning him to Poplar Hill will be amply rewarded. The
horse is a dark bay stallion, 15 hands high, trim made, thin in order
and a good saddler. The man is about 47 years old, dark complected,
somewhat gray, small black eyes and weighs about 145.
/s/ Matilda Hendron, Poplar Hill, Ky.
(This may be the Talton & Ann Hendron
who appear in the 1900 Boyle Co., Ky. census. A Matilda A. Hendren died
in Casey Co. (adjoins both Adair & Casey counties) in 1934. Alas, the
fate of Mr. Hendron remains unknown.)
