From the Rowe's X Roads (Russell County) newsletter in the January 6, 1909 Adair County News W.M. Smith, [of] Whetstone [Pulaski Co., Ky.], was with us again last week. He was on his way this time to Tom Goode's, on Casey Creek for a First Kentucky Soldier Rally, Dec. 31, the day in memory that Wolford['s] regiment was musterd out in 1864. Boys, you won't have many more rallies on earth. Let us all have one, that is around the throne of God where we will part no more.
