May 21, 2008 Judge Wallace, On May 18 I made measurements of the C&O rail bed profiles on Triangle Road and "CR 1291 G Bypass Road". Attached are sketches based on those profiles. The sketches are a little crude, but we can see that there is plenty of level ROW area to accommodate both the existing county roads and our multi-use trail running in parallel. As a matter of safety and esthetics, we would like to clearly separate the road surface from the trail. These are both very lightly traveled roads, but we would like to establish the trail in peoples consciousness, and a clearly delineated trail-way would do that. Berms, fencing and shrubbery have all been used in similar trail environments. I would suggest that a 12-18 high packed soil and gravel berm would be the quickest and most economical means of creating the desired separation. The berm would be about 24" wide and with a 4-6 foot net trail width, the trail-way would be about 6-8 feet wide altogether. I would be happy to meet again with you at any time to discuss these sketches or any other aspect of the proposed trail which would be of interest to you. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your time and in your expressions of support for our trail. Best regards, John W. Grace 286-1717 CC Mr. Robert Miller
