"In 2002, my uncles Edgar and Arthur Everman took my sister (from California) and me (from Georgia) on a cemetery tour to visit graves of our ancestors. One was on private property I think is owned by the Patton family. As I recall that we were on or near Rock House Road. The grave I was most interested in there was Martha Kibbey Everman Patton. Martha and my great grandfather built the house there (I think that is the story) and after he died following the battle of Vicksburg she married George Patton. There are several graves at that site. Just outside of Grayson in a subdivision developed by my Uncle Edgar and his daughter is a small cemetery where George Washington Everman and his wife Emma Roberts are buried. Also about a dozen other graves are there. I could not begin to give you directions to these sites but someone in the area (certainly my uncle) could direct someone to them."
"If I am correct the house on the property (I have some pictures) was built by Martha Kibbey Everman Patton's first husband John T. Everman. He was a schoolteacher and owned about 1,100 acres there. The chimney of the house was stone built inside of a log wall. It is really something to look at."
