•Allestine and Ernestine were twins as you know. Ernestine Marie (it's backward on the chart) was the oldest. She married Joseph "Joe" Earl KELLEY and they had no children. I remember her working for Meade because we used to go visit Grandma (Allestine) every summer on Chestnut St in Jackson and Uncle Joe and Aunt Ernie were always able to visit with us and Aunt Ernie would bring me school supplies. A few times I had items that hadn't hit the stores yet. I thought that was just so cool! To this day, I think of her everytime I buy a Meade product for my kids.

•Mary Allestine (name is backward on chart) married Carl STEPHENSON. From what I have been told, he was an abusive drunk and the marrige didn't last long and there were no children.

•Allestine then married Wayne Nelson COLLINS  (b. 1919 and d. Oct 2005 in hospital in WV, buried in Olive Hill, KY), son of Amanda (HOLBROOK) and Allen Breckenridge COLLINS of Olive Hill, KY. Wayne and Allestine had 2 children: 1). Joseph "Joe" Nelson COLLINS ( Dec 20, 1942 - Jan 31, 2006), who married JoAnne Ruth ZUBER (b. in  CA, still living. Dau of Joseph ZUBER and Ruth YARNELL,both deceased), who had 3 daughters; i]. Laura, who married  Lance C. DOWNEY, SR (b. 1963. Son of Gale R. DOWNEY, Jr. and JoAnne H. NAUS, both deceased) who are parents of Krystina , Lance, Jr  "LJ", Kayla, Logan Christopher (b. & d. May 1998), and Kyra. ii] Margaret "Mollie" who married James BROWN and had Brianna and Kelsey. (Divorced??). She also has daughter Naomi with Dan McCOURRY (they never married) and iii]   Mary who married Kevin FISHER and they have Joseph and Elizabeth. 2).and Mary Lynne COLLINS who married Tom SHARRITT and had 1 child and is married to Larry REILEY, with no children.

•There is no third child,as listed on the chart.

• I have Frank HARTLEY, Jrs (married  Bertha ROSS) mother listed as Anna CLARK. I think she was his dad's second wife. I have Anna's parents as Jacob CLARK (b. abt 1846 OH, a farmer, death??) and Elizabeth MILLER (b. abt. 1853. That it for her)

•Jacob's parents were Hiram CLARK (b. 2 Sept 1808 Ross, OH - d. 21 May 1876 OH) who married about 1828 in OH (?) to Sidney VANSCOY (b. 28 Dec 1809 in VA d. 26 Dec 1893). She was the daughter of Jacob VANSCOY and UNK mother.

•Hiram CLARK was the son Thomas CLARK (b. 1175 in KY or possible VA and died 1856-1860) and Abigail EVERMAN (b. about 1775-1778 KY and d. Dec 1849 OH)

•I, too, have George Franklin HARTLEY, SR's father as Isaac, but I have his birthdate as 18 Jan 1826 Ross County, OH and death date as 26 July 1903 OH.  I have his mother as Mary J. BOYER. (My dad thought the "J" was for Jane). My dad was pretty sure that BOYER was her maiden name, but I have found it also as CAHILL. I really have no info on her birth/death or who her parents were under either last name, except she was born about 1835(according to 1880 census, she was 45 at the time and born in IN and both her parents were born in OH). I have one source who stated Mary and George married 1 May 1849 in Pike, OH, but she would have married at 13 or 14. It is possible I suppose.

I have an Isaac b1799+- m.Cathrine Clark. Son of Phillip and Ruth Ann Flora

In the 1900 census for Liberty Township, Jackson county, Ohio, there is a David Kight age 35 born Nov 1864 and wife Tisha age 30 born Sept 1869. Tisha is Letitia Hartley, but who is Letitia Hartley and who are her parents?

In 1880 in Jackson Township, there is a Florence L. age 10 under Isaac L. Hartley aged 54 and wife Mary Jane Martin 45. Is Florence L. the later Letitia or is Letitia to be sought elsewhere?

“There was a Frances Hartley who married a Wickline, but she died young   in the 1890s. I think she must have impressed my grandfather so much that he   named my mother Frances.”
