Johannah Stamper "Hannah" and "JoAnna" was born May
15, 1844, Carter County, Kentucky, daughter of Jame W. "John" and Sarah
Stamper Stamper. She is Joanna, age 6 and 16, in the 1950 and 1960
Carter County, Kentucky Census. Some genealogy carry her as Heather
Joanna. The 1860 census list her occupation as a weaver. She married
under Hannah March 17, 1867, Carter County, Kentucky, to Ezekiel McGlone.
Their witnesses were William Stamper and James McGlone. She is Hannah
age, 26, 66 and 75 in the 1870,1910 and 1920 Carter County, Kentucky
Census. Hannah is on both, her death certificate and monument. The
death certificate and obituary on her son, William Greene McGlone, lists
her as Johannah. The family records of Bonnie Tabor Carver carry her as
Heather Joanna. An inscription from a cemetery sign at McGlone Creek
1971, reads " by Robert E. & M.. Joanne McGlone". Hannah, an 80 year old
widow, died August 4, 1924, of arteriosclerosis, Carter County, Kentucky.
Hannah was buried August 5, Kiser Cemetery, Carter County, Kentucky. It
was at Hannah and Ezekiel's home, Buffalo Valley, Carter County,
Kentucky, that her father died June 7, 1882,at age 83. Sources: Census,

William Ezekiel McGlone "Willie" was born September 28, 1838, Carter
County, Kentucky, son of James and Betsy Stone McGlone. Ezekiel, a
farmer, was listed age 31, 61, 71and 81 in the 1870, 1900 a, 1910 and
1920 Carter County Kentucy Census. He appears as Ezekiel on most of the
documentation, however, Kentucky Vital Statistics -Births 1877 lists him
a William father of Willie Greene McGlone. At age 84, Ezeliel died
February 1,1923, of tuberculosis of lumbar vertebrae, Carter County,
Kentucky. He is buried Kiser Cemetery, Carter County, Kentucky.

month old in the 1870 Carter County, Kentucky Census. James Elmer
married an Ada (maiden name unknown). Ada married a second time to
Woodrow Parker. Possibly son: James Elmer McGlone August 5, 1920-January
24, 1997.

single and living with his parents, Ezekiel age 81 and Hannah age 75.

William Greene McGlone "Willie" was born November 24, 1876, Carter
County, Kentucky, son of Ezekiel and Johannah Stamper McGlone. William
was age 23 and 32 in the 1900 and 1910 Carter County, Kentucky Census.
William, a 27 year old farmer, married October 16, 1904, Carter County,
Kentucky, to Margaret Genora Kiser " Nora". Their witnesses were H.W.
McGlone and Robert Cartee. A member of Carter Christian Church, William
died at home June 9,1955 at age 78, of uremia due to congestive heart
failure and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, Carter County,
Kentucky. He was buried June 11, Kiser Cemetery, Carter County,
Kentucky. At time of death, William had 23 grandchildren and 6
g-grandchildren. His mother is Johannah on his death certificate and

SYLVESTER STONE "Coon" was born September 8, 1865, Thor, Kentucky, son of
James and Marietta Stone. Sylvester was a retired farmerand a member of
the Christian Church.. At age 92, Sylvester died December 11, 1957, at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Wheeler, South Portsmouth, Greenup
County, Kentucky. Sylvester had moved to Southshore from Lewis County,
Kentucky, 18 years ago. He is buried Stone cemetery, near the church.
