Permelia Stamper "Millie", "Milly" and "Milla" was born April 1827,
Letcher County, Kentucky, daughter of James W. " John" and Sarah Stamper
Stamper. Permelia was listed as Milla age 22 in the 1850 Carter County,
Kentucky Census with her parents. Permelia was married on July 25,1852 in Carter County,
Kentucky, to Launderdale Lane Tabor by Z. Tyree. Their witnesses were
Wesley Fultz and John Erwin. She was age 42, 52 and 73 in the 1870,
1880and 1900 Kentucky Census, the later listing her birth as April
1827.and married 49 years. Her death certificate lists her born June 17,
1826, in which her son Newton Delphus was the informant. Permelia, age
86, died June17, 1912, of apoplexy, Olive Hill, Carter County, Kentucky.

Remark: It is believed Newton gave his mother's birth date and name
wrong or the errors were made by the person filling out the death
certificate filed June 18.
Landerdale Lane Tabor was born April 1826, Virginia, son of Basil Moab
and Nancy Fraley Tabor. Launderdale was a 23 year old farmer
in the 1850 Kentucky Census. Launderdale's military service was as a
1st. Lt., Co. D, 22nd Kentucky Infantry, Civil War from October 1861 to
December 1861. He was age 43 and 53 in the 1870 and 1880 Kentucky Census.
He is age 74 and born April 1926, in the 1900 Kentucky Census which
contradicts his death certificate birth listed May12,1825.. He worked as
a farmer, miller, tavern keeper and a Magistrate and Provost Marshall.
He died at age 87 December17,1912, of senility, Carter County, Kentucky.

His monument reads Samuel Captain Tabor 1874-1957 which is in conflict
with his birth year by his census ages. Samuel married in 1871, to Mary
Hall or Nall "Polly", born in February 1871, and died in the mid 1930's.
Samuel died in July 1957 according to Bonnie Tabor Carver. Samuel is
buried McKinney Cemetery, Route 3298 off of Route 60, Olive Hill, Carter
County, Kentucky. The cemetery is across the road from Mt. Top Chapel.
