Another unidentified source carries his death on November 21, 1893, Smokey Valley, Carter County, Kentucky, and said Thomas and Martha were originally buried on their home farm from which they were moved when the farm sold. Martha Evelyn Erwin was born April 14, 1838, Carter County, Kentucky, daughter of John Leander, born October 1, 1791, North Carolina and Elizabeth (Dickerson) Erwin, born February 29, 1840, Virginia.
