brain fever in Aubrey, Johnson Co, KS. John Eli served with Co M 11th KS Cav and Co E KS Vol Cal.
William enlisted in the 17th Kansas Infantry on July 18, 1864. The regiment fought in one battle, The Battle of Mine Creek Kansas on October 25, 1864.
