Kentucky Death Certificates for Theodore Adolphus Madden, son of Matthew Madden and Sophia Estill. His father Matthew died in Carter Co. in 1879 and is shown in the 1880 Mortality Schedules. Two death certificates were issued for Adolph one day apart. On one the informant is his wife and on the other his son-in-law, Van Gayheart (Gearheart).

His father, Matthew Madden, was born on Three Prong in Greenup County and his mother, Sophia Estill, was born in Fleming County. She and her husband were cousins through their Horsley relatives.
