This indenture of bargain made and entered into by and between William James & 
Elizabeth James, his wife, of the one part, and Bnjamin F. Crawford of the second 
part, all of the County of Carter and State of Kentucky, witnesseth that for and in 
consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars paid and secured to be paid by 
note for which the parties of the first part have bargained and sold unto the party 
of the second part five certain tracts of land lying and being on the waters of 
Tygarts Creek and Sinking Creek and bounded as follows: Begining at a Beech Sugar 
& maple on Little Sinking, thense N 5 W 70 poles to a Beech, thense N 13 W 122 
poles to a elm, white oak & hickory, thence thence N55 E 58(?) poles to a white 
oak thense ??????
