This indenture made and entered into by and between May L. Offill 
John H. Offill and Martha H. Offill of the County of Carter and State of 
Kentucky  also John P. Ross and Louisa F. Ross of the County of Lewis & State 
of Kentucky of the first part and G. M. Offill of Carter County Kentucky 
of the second part Winesseth that the said Mary L. Offill Martha J. Offill 
John H. Offill Louisa F. Ross and John P. Ross for and in consideration of 
the sum of two hundred dollars hath granted bargained and sol unto the said 
G. W. Offill his heirs and assigns all of our right title and interest for 
ever in and to a tract of land or any part thereof lying in Carter County 
Kentucky on the waters of Tygarts Creek and bounded as follows Beginning

at a stake corner to Harvey Offill land and with his line N 80 E 102 poles 
to two hickories  S 21 E 16 1/2 poles to a white oak S 88 E 144 poles to a 
stake thence N 53 poles to a forked gum N 98 (<-83?) 1/2 W 241 poles to 2 black oak 
bushes on the north side of the road thence south 11 W 74 poles to a stake 
near a small branch S 7 W 7 poles to the beginning Containing ninety six 
acres together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging 
to have and to hold ???? land hereby conveyed unto the said G. W. Offill his 
heirs assigns for ever and the said Mary L. Offill John H Offill Martha J. 
Offill  Louisa F. Ross and John P. Ross for themselves their heirs o the 
afore said tract of land or all of their right title and interest in and to 
the afore said tract of land fore ever unto the  said G. W. Offill his heirs 
or assigns against the claims of all and every person claiming by through or 
under our title we will warrant and for ever defend but against no other 
claims In witness the said Mary L. Offill John H. Offill Martha J. Offill 
and John P. Ross together with Louisa F. Ross the said John P. Ross' wife 
who does hereby relinquish her right of dower in and to the land conveyed in 
this deed hath hereto set their hands and seals this 10th day of April 1865
