425 This indenture made and entered into this 7th day of September 1869 by and between Reuben F. Ross and Teresa Ellen Ross of the County of Lewis and the State of Kentucky of the first part and G. M. Offill of Carter County and the state aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the said Reuben F, Ross and Teresa Ellen Ross for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars ($50.oo) paid in hand the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hereby sells and conveys unto the said G. M. Offill his heirs & assigns all their rights title and interest in and to the following described tract or boundary of land it being the interest that the said Teresa llen Ross inherited from her deceased brother James Preston Offill Lying in Carter County Kentucky om the waters of Tygart Creek and bounded as follows (to wit): Beginning at a stake corner to J. Harvey Offill's land and with his lines N 80 E 102 pole to two h ickories thence S 31 E 16 1/2 poles to a white oak S 88 E 144 poles to a stake thence North 53 poles to a forked gum thence N 83 1/2 W 241 poles to two black oak bushes on the north side of the road thence S 11 W 74 poles to a stake near a small branch small branch S 7 W 7 poles to the beginning Containing 96 acres together with all and singular the appurtenances there unto belonging to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed unto the said G. M. Offill his & the aforesaid right title and interest unto the said G. M. Offill his heirs or assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person claiming by through or under this title hey will warrant and forever defend but against no other claims, date above: in witness whereof we here unto set our hands and seals Reuben F.
