This deed this day made by and between John N. Ross and Nancy J. Ross, 
his wife, party of the first part and John P. Ross, party of the second 
part all of the Carter County ???? that in consideration of the sum of 
three hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, 
the party of the first part hath sold and ????? and doth hereby sell and convey 
all that certain tract or parcel of land ???? in the County of Carter, State 
of Kentucky, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stone on County Road, 
thence with  the division line of John P. Ross and Reuben F. Ross N 61 E 134 poles 
to a maple, a ?????, small black oak and locust and two small black locust & 
beeches N 3 W 20 poles to a black oak N 27 E 17 1/2(?) poles to a stake middle 
of County Road , thence with middle of said County Road, N 51 W 95 poles to stone, 
S 17 W 30 poles to the beginning, containing survey fifty seven acres with the 
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the party of the second part and 
his heirs or assigns forever, and the party of the first part ???????? warrant 
and defend the title of said land to him the party of the second part, his heirs 
or assigns forever, against all claims whatsoever ???? testimony said parties 
of the fist part do sign and deliver ?????? this 29 of March 1872.

I, William H. Everman, Deputy for Elias P. Davis, Clerk of the County Court in the 
County and State aforesaid do certify that this deed from John N. Ross and 
Nancy J. Ross, his wife, to John P. Ross was this day duly presented to me in my 
office and duly acknowledged by the grantor the ????? ????? and ????? the said 
deed together with this certificate hath been duly admitted ???? n my office 
????? ???? my hand this 29 day of March 1872.

the above "N 51 W 95" call is recorded as "N 59 W 95"
the above "S 17 W 50" call is recorded as "S 17 W 30"

Neither deed's calls creates a closed plat of land.

Curiously, the call "N 61 E 134" also appears on Deed Book E Page 96" a sale to Reuben Fletcher Ross!
