151 This deed this day made by and between John N. Ross and Nancy J. Ross, his wife, of the first part and Eliza Cline, party of the second part, all of Carter County, Kentucky, witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars $200.00 in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the party of the 1st part has sold and doth hereby sell and convey all that certain tract or parcel of land situated in the County of Carter State of Kentucky on the waters of Suire Lick Branch and bounded as follows, viz: Beginning on a ???? near the County Road on pine and black locust, thence N 42 E 118 poles to a small poplar and chestnut near a branch, thence S 50 E 40 poles to two white oaks and dead black oak, thence S 33 1/2 W 35 poles to white oak and poplar by branch, thence S 15 E 54 poles to a stake by a small ravine, thence with R. F. Ross line S 63 W 86 poles to the County Road and with or near it N 35 W 18 1/2 poles N 6 W 30 poles N 51 W 19 to the beginning, containing by survey fifty (50) acres with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the party of 2nd part and his heirs or assigns forever snd the party of 1st part will forever warrant and defend the title of said land to him the party of the 2nd part, his heirs or assigns forever, against all claims whatsoever. Ross to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the contents and effect of the said deed being explained to the said Nancy J. Ross by me separate and apart from her husband and thereupon declared
