GILBERT, James M.; Farmer; Sec. 25; P. O. Colfax; born in Russell Co., Va., Nov. 13, 1817 came
 to Jasper County in 1865, his father having moved to Carter Co., Ky. in 1827. Has 131 acres of
 land, valued at $50 per acre. Married Miss WILBURN in 1843; she was born in Virginia in 1826;
 died in November 1851, leaving one child - Sarah E., born in 1846. Then married Sarah J. AUFILL
 in November 1852; she was born in Kentucky, Oct. 5, 1830; they have six children - Mary E.,
 John B., Martha J., William H., Mandy M. and Alden. Republican. Member of the Grange. He is a
 member of the Campbellite Church.
