CHAPTER SEVEN

MISCELLANEOUS McGLONES OF INDIANA

The first six chapters were given to the children of William, the original McGlone in Indiana. We do have information on other McGlones in Indiana and we are sure that these McGlones are somehow a part of William’s family, but we cannot tie them in at this time. We list two who may be McGlones as we have already discussed, but we cannot be sure.

First, we have another William. We show him being born in 1853 in Indiana and marrying Isabel, who was born in 1854 in Indiana. They had 4 children:

  1. Luie was born in 1874 in Indiana.
  2. Oliver was born in 1877 in Indiana.
  3. Dellie was born in 1878 and died in 1878.
  4. Mary was born in 1879.

Next, we have another John. He married Mary Starke on February 6, 1836, in Vigo County. Preacher Frakes was the minister who conducted the wedding. This is only two years before John in Chapter II married Hannah Akers, but we do not believe there is any connection with the two.

We have an Isabel McGlone born about 1809 and died September 3, 1861. She married Seburn Barbre on March 25, 1832 and they are buried at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Sullivan County. We know they had 10 children and we know their names, but we do not know anything more about Isabel and her parents.
