CHILDREN OF OWEN McGLONE
AMBROSE
Ambrose was born on December 12, 1819, in Kentucky. He died on June 23, 1876, in Kentucky. Ambrose married Nancy McGlone, daughter of William McGlone, Owen’s brother, so she was his first cousin. She will also be discussed in a later part covering the McGlones of Indiana where William settled. He married Nancy on May 28, 1843, at Vigo county, Indiana, and they were married by Asa Frakes, a Baptist Minister. Nancy was born in 1820 in Indiana and died in 1870. They had 5 children:

- Alfred Ben will be discussed in Section III.
- Robert will be discussed in Section IV.
- Child born in 1858 and died before 1860.

Section I
Mary "Pop" was born in 1844 in Kentucky. We really know very little about her but she must have led an interesting life. Our references show she was married to a King and probably others. We know of six children she had and we are sure there were others.
- James -- was either a Miller or a King and he died when he was 15.
- Louisa married Richard Burchett in Oregon.
- Florence married a Henry Wilson in Michigan.
- George (Chig) was born on August 15, 1881, and died on July 20, 1952. He was never married.

- Rebecca F. was born in 1879.

Section II
William Preston was born in 1847 in Kentucky and died in Kentucky. He married Eliza Ellen McCleese who was a sister to Joe Harvey’s wife, on July 1, 1877. She was born in 1857 in Kentucky and died in Battle Creek, Michigan. They were married in Cincinnati, Ohio. They had 8 children:
- William Cephus will be discussed in Section VI.
- Samuel Martin was born on April 28, 1979, in Carter County, Kentucky. He married Mary Townsend.
- Charles Walter was born on May 2, 1889, in Carter County and died on December 12, 1925, at Roswell, New Mexico. He married Opha Adella Zimmerman in 1925.
- Lula married a Swan.
- McKinley.
- Clara.
- Daniel.
- Herb.

Section III
Alfred Ben was known as "Red Ben". He was born in 1850 in Kentucky and died on November 23 1913, in Carter County. He married Annie Honchell on April 10, 1884. She was born in 1858. They had 4 children:

- Sarah.
- Ollie was born on August 11, 1903, in Carter County and died in 1974. She married Charles Davis.
- Robert killed himself with a shotgun.

Section IV
Robert Houston (Tuck) was born in 1854 and died on November 29, 1920, in Crum, West Virginia. He married Julia Ann Rhoden on March 28, 1877. Julia was born in 1858 and died on April 27, 1930, in Crum. They had 7 children:
- Sanford A. will be discussed in Section VIII.
- Thomas will be discussed in Section IX.
- Nancy Eveline was born on November 6, 1883, in Carter County and died on November 21, 1963, in Cattlesburg, Kentucky. She married George M. Johnson.
- Minnie died at a very young age.
- Margaret (Massie) was born on June 11, 1885, and died on June 25, 1960, in Illinois. She married Jay Cambron.
- Malinda (Dixie) was born on September 17, 1891, in Carter County and died on May 19, 1972, in Ft. Gay, West Virginia. She married Thomas J. Foster.

Section V
Lawrence was born on April 24, 1885, in Carter County and died on January 24, 1978, in Ashland, Kentucky. He married Margaret Ann McGlone, the daughter of James Warren. James was discussed in Chapter 6, Section IV. Margaret was born on March 7, 1886, and died on April 13, 1923. They are both buried at Ead’s place on McGlone Creek. They had 3 children:
- Mary Margaret was born on August 6, 1916, and died on July 4, 1971. She married Louis e. Haney in 1933.
- Lawrence, Jr., married Myrtle Stamper whose mother was Cloa "Lizzie" McGlone, the daughter of Ezekiel McGlone -- see Chapter II, Section VII.

Section VI
William Cephus was born on July 30, 186, in Wesleyville, Kentucky, and died on May 17, 1957 (8), in Sciotoville, Ohio. He was married four times, first to Nannie V. Thompson on April 4, 1899, at Grayson, Kentucky. Nannie was born on November 9, 1878, in Carter County, Kentucky, and died on December 4, 1902, in Carter County. They had no children. His second wife was Samatha Davis and they married in July, 1903, at Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in November 1880 at Rush, Kentucky, and died on December 22, 1905, in Carter County. They had a daughter, Pauline. His third wife was Hattie Henrietta Davis and they were married on March 29, 1906, at Williamson, West Virginia. Hattie was born on January 14, 1879, at Rush and died on January 31, 1935, and is buried in Sciotoville, Ohio. They had 7 children. His fourth wife was Catherine Wheeler McGlone and they married on March 4, 1936. She was born on October 9, 1887, in Greenup County and died on August 13, 1962, in Wheelersburg, Ohio. They had no children. William Cephus was a Spanish American War veteran and was a Railroad Brakeman. His children were:
- Pauline was born on April 28, 1904, in Bluefield, West Virginia, and married an Hour.
- Raymond E. was born in 1907 and died in 1965. He married Elsie Mustard in 1928 and they had 3 children.
- Gertrude was born on May 4, 1909, in Carter County and married Burt Walters and later, James Abrams.
- Wain was born on November 27, 1910, in Quincey, Kentucky, and died in 1911.
- Helen was born on September 5, 1912, in Quincey and married a Will.
- Mabel was born on May 223, 1915, in Quincey and married a Mowrey.
- Russell was born on January 1, 1917, in Vanceburg and married Margaret Bennett in 1936.
- Roland was born in 1918 in Vanceburg, Kentucky, and married Vivian Juanita Buckley in 1936. They have a son, Vayland.

Section VII
Elmer Clayton was born in 1885 and died in 1959. He married Eunice Boshaby Conley in or about 1802. We believe they had 11 children:
- Inez married Sheridan Wolf. She was born on June 7, 1912.
- Thelma was born on August 9, 1914, and married Hymen Casden.
- Benjamin Franklin was born on December 29, 1916, and married Ruth Fraley. They had two children.
- William Glenn was born on July 17, 1921.
- Alma was born on December 15, 1923.
- Betty Jane was born on December 29, 1935, and was a teacher.
- Ila Colleen (Pansy) was born on January 3, 1928, and married Lawrence Fultz.
- Floyd J. was born on December 10, 1930.
- Hymen Bruce was born on September 13, 1934, and married Louise Burnett.
- Ruby married Harrison Meadows.
- Emma.

Section VIII
Sanford A. was born about 1879 and died in 1957 in the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles. He married Ida Carver in 1901 and later they were divorced. He later married again, but we do not know is second wife’s name. He had 3 children:

- Clyde R.
- Jessie.

Section IX
Thomas Willard was born on September 11, 1881, and died in January 1953. He married Carrie Eugenie Evans. They had 7 children:
- Earl T. was born in 1904 and married Elva Salmons. They had four children.
- Levi Houston was born on July 25, 1906, in West Virginia. He married Helen Wisekal and later they were divorced.
- Merle O. married Arthur L. Pickett.
- Juanita married Grant Perry.
- Eula Lee married Leonard L. Heaberlin.
- Hubert E. married Alfreda Moore.
- Ulysses Grant (U.G.) married Franklin Bradshaw.

Section X
Wilford was born on August 12, 1898, and died on January 15, 1972, and is buried at the Duck Creek Cemetery in Kenova, West Virginia. He married Pricey Parsley. They had 5 children:
- Fred married Priscilla Musser.
- Glenn Walton was born on February 28, 1926, in Martin County, Kentucky, and married Minnie Bradford.
- Annie married Earnest Taylor.
- Fannie.
- Clyde Iran married Gloria Jeffers.
