| Thanks for visiting the Rootsweb site for Carter County, Kentucky genealogy. My name is John W. Grace and I'm the new site administrator.
I'm taking over for John Rucker. Under John Rucker's administration, this site grew to be one of the most successful county
genealogical web sites on the internet. We will forever be indebted to John for his contribution. I first became interested in genealogy about 20 years ago, but it has only been an obsession with me for about the last 5 years. I hope to build on John Rucker's efforts, and make this an even more valuable resource to Carter County researchers. I can only do that with your help. We all learn early in our research, we can make much faster progress working together than we could ever hope to working alone. I'm open to all ideas and hope to keep this site improving on a regular basis. My immediate goals are: - Add many more photos to the gallery - Recruit and support individuals willing to assist in the preservation of Carter Co. cemeteries - Add more research material of all kinds to the site.
