THE PORTSMOUTH TIMES SATURDAY, JULY 5, 1879 Page 3 Mr. Frank Powers and bride were registered at the Biggs House yesterday. Mr. Powers, the popular General Agent of the Eastern Kentucky Railroad, was married at Grayson, Ky., last Wednesday, to Miss Juliet, the accomplished daughter of the late Dr. A. J. Lansdowne, of Carter County. Mr. Powers is the son of E. Powers, Jr., of Wheelersburg, and he and his bride visited their friends in that vicinity last Thursday. The happy pair leave this morning on a tour to Lake Chatauqua and other points. Frank has, and deserves, a host of friends not only at his old home in Scioto, but on both sides of the river, and we join them in wishing him and his Kentucky bride the truest and best of life-s generous stores.
