Personally came before me, a clerk of Carter County Court in and for aforesaid County and State, James Bradley, aged 52 years citizen of the Town of Grayson, County of Carter, State of  Kentucky, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declare to aforesaid case, as follows:

My present post office is Grayson Carter County KY. I am acquainted with Martin Lunsford this claimant and have known him ever since he was a small boy, before he volunteered into the service of the United States he was a sound man in every respect and free from disease of the heart as far as I knew, and that while claimant was in line of duty in Grayson, Carter County, Ky and some time in the fall of 1868 he (claimant) contracted disease of the heart.  I heard claimant complain of the heart upon difernt time while he was in the service. Claimant complained of shortness of breath and palpataions of the heart. I have seen claimant often since the war and have heard him complain upon difernt times times since the war down to the present time of shortness of breath and palpatations of the heart. I was in Co. B 22nd Reg Ky Vols, but was with this claimant at Grayson Carter County Ky at the time above stated.

 

I further declare that I have no interest in said case, and am not comcerned in its prosecution.
