November 12, 1885: W.R. Kitchen has been appointed postmaster at Willard.
November 16, 1894: Friday at Grayson, Carter Co. Ky. On the day of the election. Lewis Kitchen aged 68 years, dropped dead just as he was leaving the polls where he had acted as judge. He was a Democrat.
June 5, 1908: For Congress. We are authorized to announce Charles Kitchen of Carter Co. as a candidate for Congress from the 9th Congressional District to the democratic party.
February 4, 1919: Charles Kitchen, one of Carter County’s best businessmen, who is now located at Central City, W.Va. is the proud father of a little son. Our readers will remember he married Nelia Golden, a dashing young widow last year, very much to the chagrin of his first children, who now have a little brother.
February 7, 1919: Watt Kitchen and son Clyde formerly of Willard but late of Iowa are visiting relatives near here. Mrs Watt Kitchen of Beacon, Iowa has been visiting her many friends. She was entertained by Mrs. Eliza W. Green & Mrs. Sallie Gardner.
