UPPER WILSON
 	Mrs. Emma Lemaster and daughter Ruby were shopping in Ashland Saturday.
        
	Mrs. Florence Haywood was calling on Mrs. James Oliver Sunday afternoon.
        
	Mr. and Mrs. Vermel Gallion were the guests Sunday of friends on East Fork.
        
	Mrs. V. A. Gallion entertained as her guest Monday, Mrs. Florence Haywood.
        
	Frank Hale, who has been employed in Baltimore, Md. Has returned home for
a short visit before leaving for the Army, December 11th.
        
	Mrs. McKinster is quite ill at this time.
        
	Mrs. George Smith is spending this week with her husband, who is employed at
Weeksbury.
        
	Mrs. Susan Carraway entertained as her guest Sunday afternoon, Mrs. Carter
Oliver.


WILLIAMS CREEK
	Rev. Ephriam Lucas filled his monthly appointment Saturday evening at the
church here.
        
	Mrs. Della Lucas entertained as her dinner guest Sunday, Mrs. Mary Lucas
of Grant.
        
	Miss Gladys Lucas recently received word from Pvt. Alfred Goode and reports
that he is stationed at Camp Carson, Colorado.
        
	Rev. Charles Lucas recently received word from his son, Pvt. Everett Lucas,
who is now stationed with Company B, at Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
        
	Miss Betty Lucas was the weekend guest of Miss Frances Jones.
        
	Rev. Charley and Vergie Lucas are happily announcing the birth of twin
grandsons.  They received word that twin sons were born to Rev. and Mrs.
Vivian Lucas of Burnwell, W. Va., on Monday, November 16th, at Burnwell.
The boys have been given the names of Neddenam  and Jailard.  Jailard
weighed 6 1/2 pounds and Neddenam 7 pounds.
        
	Miss Gladys Lucas was the guest of Mrs. Ellia Moore, Thursday evening.
  
  	Mrs. Sadie Namond Marshall was shopping in Grayson Monday.
        
	Miss Frances Jones was the guest of Miss Betty Lucas Saturday night.
        
	Among those attending church at Musica Saturday night were Mrs. Mabel McCoy
and Miss Belvia Lucas.
        
	Miss Betty Lucas and Miss Frances Jones entertained with a popcorn party
Saturday evening. Many of the young people attended.

EVERMAN
	Mrs. Arnold Bush and children spent Sunday with Mrs. Laura Bush.
        
	We are sorry to hear of the serious illness of Mrs. Jim Riffe, but we hope
for her a speedy recovery.
        
	Junior Felty spent Saturday night with his sister, Mrs. Elton Bush.
        
	Thomas Claxon spent a day last week with his parent, Weslie Claxon.

WOLF
  	Many of the farmers in this neighborhood have taken their tobacco to market
the past week in order to have it ready for an early sale.  Most of the
tobacco crops are very good this year, as it was a good season.
        
	The cold spell of weather seems to have taken everyone by surprise.  We had
such pretty fall and winter weather previous to this that it was hard to
become accustomed to zero weather.
        
	Mr. and Mrs. Ellis McGuire of Ohio have been visiting relatives here the
past week.
        
	Comet Hignite is confined to his home by illness this week.
        
	Lewis Morgan, who is stationed with the U. S. Army at Long Beach,
California, spent the week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Morgan.
        
	Misses Virginia and Thelma Maggard have gone to seek employment at
Columbus, Ohio, the past week.
        
	Ruth Haney spent Monday night with Nelma Jean Morgan.
        
	Miss Christine Ramey spent the week-end with her parents at Carter City.
        
	The pupils at Plummer school are making preparations for a Christmas program.
It will not be long until each of them will expect Santa Claus, so they must
present him with a favorable welcome.
        
	Howard and Van Menix were business visitors at Grayson and Olive Hill Monday.
        
	Nathan Nelson returned home this week from Cleveland, Ohio, where he had gone
to find employment.

LOWER GRASSY
  	Elizia Wright and son Tollie were business visitors in Grayson Friday.
        
	Miss Mary Tom Harris was the week-end guest of Miss Alice Fern Worthington.
        
	Miss Arlena Wright was the guest Sunday of Misses Helen and Chloe Warnock.
        
	Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wright and daughter Glenna Ruth were in Grayson Saturday.
        
	Mrs. Doris Bear and daughter Fern were the guests Sunday of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur 

WARNOCK
 	Misses Helen and Chloe Warnock were entertained as the guests of Mrs. Chloe
Wright, Monday.
        
	Charley Kiser and Chester Pack were business visitors in Grayson Tuesday.
        
	Miss Faye Bear was the week-end guest of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Warnock.
		
	Mrs. Emerson Wilburn and son Gene spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs.
E. S. Suttles.
        
	Mrs. Mabyn Riffe and daughter Thelma were business visitors in Ashland Friday.
        
	Mrs. E. S. Suttles was calling on Leona Sexton Friday afternoon.
        
	Mrs. Sam Felty of Stinson is spending a few days with her mother, Mrs. George
Sexton.
        
	Millard Stewart has been the guest the past few days of his aunt, Mrs. E. S.
Suttles.
        
	Mrs. Ernest Messer and children of Tribbey, Ky., who have been visiting with
her mother, Mrs. Laura Lemaster, has returned to her home.
