Kentucky GenWeb projectLoretta Griffith 1921 - 2003 Loretta Griffith, age 81, of Grayson, KY, died Monday, September 29th, 2003 in Carter Nursing & Rehab. She was born November 17, 1921, at Willard, KY, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Carolyn McKinney Adams. She was a homemaker and a member of the Willard Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Alice Triplett and Thelma June Maness and a brother, Charles Sheldon Adams. Her survivors include: Her husband of 64 years: Obie Edward Griffith; 6 sons & 4 daughters-in-law: Lowell and “Patty” Griffith of Grayson, Gary Griffith of Willard, Mike and “Nina” Griffith of Grayson, Terry and “Brenda” Griffith of Grayson, Brian Griffith of Grayson and Brett and “Beth” Griffith of Ashland; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Carolyn and “Bill” Davis of Houston, TX and LaDonna and “Tucker” Thompson of Willard; 3 sisters: Rebecca Young of Webbville, Charlotte Kelley Detroit, MI and Gloria Jean Savage of Hitchins, KY; 2 brothers: Bill Adams of Martinsburg, WV and James Adams of Chester, WV; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with Joe Savage, minister. Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
