Dallas Ray Bailey
1940-2004
Dallas Ray Bailey, 63, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday, March 25, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 24, 1940, in Carter County, a son of Parrish Bailey and the late Geneva Miller Bailey.
Dallas was a former blaster with Cravat Coal Co. of Grayson, Ky., was retired from Catlettsburg Labor Union Local 1445, and was a member of Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle in Olive Hill.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are three daughters, Bambi Bailey of Lexington, Ky., Staci (Patrick) McDavid of Grayson, and Kristi (Charlie) Howard of Sandy Hook, Ky.; three sisters, Lana (Donald) Offill of Olive Hill, Annette Hamm of Olive Hill and Shelia (Roger) Felty of Grayson; two brothers, Charles (Judy) Bailey and Larry Bailey, both of Olive Hill; six grandchildren, Michael Justice, Tara, Andrea and Rhiannon McDavid, and Drew and Charli Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Lynn Bailey; and one brother, Parrish Bailey.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 29, at 1 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Randy Binion officiating, with burial in Roark Cemetery on Wicker Hollow.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 Sunday, March 28 and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
