Parrish Edmond Bailey 

1917-2004 

Parrish Bailey, 86, of Grayson, Ky., passed away Monday, May 24, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. 

Mr. Bailey was born Dec. 28, 1917, in Floyd County, Ky., a son of the late William and Gertie Roark Bailey. 

He was the husband of the late Geneva Miller Bailey. 

Mr. Bailey was a former employee of North American Refractory, Grayson Block & Coal, Gollihue & Kiser Coal, the clay mines and 
Carter Caves State Resort Park. He attended Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle. 

Mr. Bailey is survived by three daughters, Lana Offill and her husband, Don, of Olive Hill, Ky., 
and Annette Hamm and Shelia Felty and her husband, Roger, all of Grayson; two sons, Charles Bailey and his wife, Judy, and Larry Bailey, 
all of Olive Hill; one brother, James Bailey of Grayson; 11 grandchildren, Lester Bailey, Amy Middleton, Raymond Bailey, Bambi Bailey, 
Staci McDavid, Kristi Howard, Terri Bond, Anthony Hamm, Lori Willett, Bronston Hamm and Monica Justice; 21 great-grandchildren; 
and several nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by two sons, Dallas and Parrish Bailey; one daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Wade Hamm; four sisters, 
Elizabeth Burchett, Dora Baker, Billie J. Creighton, and Madeline Bailey; and three brothers, George, Gaynes and Charles Bailey. 

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Randy Binion and Lewis Davis officiating. 
Burial will follow in Biggs Hill Cemetery. 

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today, May 26, at the funeral home.
