MRS. MAGGIE M. ERWIN The Sunday Independent Ashland, Ky., July 3, 1983 Mrs. Maggie M. Erwin, 90, of Washington Courthouse, Ohio formerly of Carter County, died Saturday in the Fayette County Memorial Hospital in Washington Courthouse after a long illness. Mrs. Erwin was born April l2, 1893, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Newton and Amanda Helen Perry Bays. Her husband, Leslie Erwin, died 1972. Mrs. Erwin was a housewife and a member of the Community Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Quentin Erwin of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight daughters, Mrs. Ruby James, Mrs. Inez Baker and Mrs. Helen Stallard of Olive Hill, Mrs. Bessie Baker and Mrs. Doris Tussey of Ashland, Mrs. Arline Justice of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Joyce Tussey of Leesburg, Ohio and Mrs. Gladys Blanton of Burnswick, Ga.; and one sister, Mrs. Leona Webb of Olive Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill. The burial will follow at the Erwin Family Cemetery.
