HARLAN GENE BELLEW 59, of Springfield, died in Community Hospital on Tuesday, December 26, 2000, following one year of failing health. He was born January 12, 1941, in Denton, Kentucky, the son of Charles Clifford and Lorene Bellew. Gene served in the United States Army and was retired from SPECO Division of Kelsey-Hayes. He is survived by his mother of Springfield; two sons, Randy G. Bellew and Tom C. (Miranda) Bellew, both of Springfield; two daughters, Bobii (Kenny) Sutherland of Newton, New Hampshire, Kelly (Gary) Grey of Azle, Texas; two brothers, Carol (Phyllis) Bellew of Springfield and Don (Shirley) Bellew of South Vienna; one sister, Janet (Roger) Binkley of Springfield; six grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Cromer, Michael and Corey Sutherland, Jordin and Noah Bellew; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and former wife, Vicki L. Bellew Metz. Funeral services will be private. Burial in Enon Cemetery.
