JAMES O. BLEVINS, 85, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Hall Funeral Home by the Rev. Tommy Jones and the Rev. Gordon Simpson. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. James was born March 3, 1918, in Olive Hill, Ky., son of the late Leander and Madelyne Penley Blevins. James was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and attended the Rose of Sharon Chapel. In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by five brothers. James is survived by his wife, Betty L. Blevins; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paulette and Norman Fulks of Proctorville and Carla and Rodney Tiller of Lavalette, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Lee Fulks and Lisa Maxwell; and two great-grandchildren, Cris Cremeans and Shelby Board.
