James G. Boggs
1934-2003
James G. "Jimmy Gordon" Boggs, 69, passed away Dec. 12 in King's Daughters Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was born April 8, 1934, in Carter County, a son of the late James D. and Lucille Kennard Boggs.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Hettinger Boggs, on Aug. 24, 1998.
He was a retired business owner of Boggs Hardware and a lifelong resident of Grayson, Ky.
He was a member of Grayson Masonic Lodge 145 and the First Baptist Church of Grayson.
Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Joan Boggs; two nephews, Roy D. Boggs and Kevin Boggs, all of Grayson;
and a large number of great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Charles Davis and Bruce Brylinsky officiating.
Burial will follow in Grayson Memorial Park.
