The Ashland Daily Independent 6-6-1980 Commodore Bowling Commodore Bowling 87 of Rt2 Grayson died Thursday. Mr Bowling was born April 29,1893 in Carter County a son of the late Jerry & Clara Church Bowling. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. Surviving are his wife Margret Page Bowling; four sons Edgel Bowling of Ironton, Clifford Bowling of Kitts Hill Ohio, Ronald Bowling of Circleville Ohio and Commodore Jr. of Rt 2 Grayson; four daughters Lucy Gallion of Oberlin Ohio, Rosa Pennington of Dayton Ohio, Imogene McCoy of Baltimore Ohio and Clara Caudill of Ashland; 37 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren. Services were conducted at Willard Christian Church by Robert Jordan. Burial was in Bowling Cemetery At Jeriel. Malone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
