Robert Bowling Sr. 1929 - 2005 Robert Eugene Bowling, Sr., beloved husband and father, age 75, of Grayson, KY, went to be with his Lord, Sunday, July 24th, 2005, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Bowling was born July 26th, 1929, at Van Lear, KY, a son of the late Vernon and Mary Edith Bays Bowling. He was a Boilermaker with Local #667 and a Coal Truck Driver. He was a member of the Pactolus United Methodist Church, an avid lover of his church, family and bluegrass music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Preston and stepmother, Irene Bowling. His survivors include: His wife: Deanna Kay McDavid Bowling of Grayson. His stepmother: Mary Wilcox of Stambaugh, KY. One son: Robert Bowling Jr., Grayson. Three daughters: Debbie and Mike Johnston of Hitchins, KY, Teresa and Pat Stamper of Grayson, Crystal and Shawn Limings of Grayson. Two brothers: Vernon Bowling Jr. of Grand Rapids, MI and Joseph L. Bowling of Aurora, MO. Grandchildren: Candy Wiler, Lisa Adams, Stephen Ryan Holbrook, Kaylee Limings, Gabe Limings, Robert Lafe Limings and Kelsey Stamper. Five great-grandchildren: Kirstin Wiler, Bradley Wiler, Chandler Adams, Caden Adams and Casen Adams. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 27th, 2005 at 1:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with Tom Riffe, John Dean and John Sergent, ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
